E. R. Thomas Drug Company opens in Duke, NC.
(The town later changed it’s name to Erwin, NC in 1926)
Thomas Drug Company opens Durham, NC.
Edward Ragland Thomas, R.Ph. (great grandfather) is licensed in pharmacy 1902.
1931
Phillip L Thomas, R.Ph., (grandfather) is licensed in pharmacy.
1937
Thomas & Oakley Drug Store Opens in Roxboro, NC.
1964
Thomas Drugs opens in Shallotte, NC.
1973
Edward R Thomas, III, R.Ph. (father) is licensed in pharmacy. Sandra Thomas (mother) helps with bookkeeping, and shortly thereafter, becomes a partner.
1982
Seashore Drugs opens in Calabash, NC.
1997
Edward R Thomas, IV, R.Ph., PharmD, is licensed in pharmacy.
2000
Thomas Drugs is one of the first traditional retail drugstore pharmacies in the Carolinas to remove tobacco products.
2000
Thomas Drugs opens in Oak Island, NC.
2005
Seashore Drugs opens in Little River, SC.
2019
“Thomas Seashore Drugs” is established and the stores begin rebranding to meet the growing customer demand in community health services.
2020
Thomas Seashore Drugs is one of the first retail pharmacies in the Carolinas planning to remove soda and candy from their shelves in an effort to promote nutrition and community wellness.
